Individual, Marriage & Family Counseling
Addressing issues related to individual stress or family conflict, chemical
dependency, communication break-downs, domestic violence, separation and divorce, parenting skills, and other
mental health needs. Mediation, group conflict resolution, and employee
assistance counseling is also offered.
Assessments are provided for
remarriages, with counseling for engaged couples and pre-marriage inventory

Pregnancy Counseling, Adoption,
Project Rachel, and Respect Life
Pregnancy support services include
assistance with future planning,
finding resources, preparing for the birth of a child, and relationship counseling. Information on adoption and assistance in discerning an adoption plan and its options as well as resources for people interested in adopting are also available. Abortion can be one of the most trau-matic experiences in a person’s life. The Church’s message is one of healing and hope. Counseling and spiritual support are provided for those affected by
Parish and Community Response
Working with individuals, families or parishes to address needs, supply emergency resource
materials or develop emergency response
services in the wake of a tragedy or natural

Transition and Grief Services
Counseling, support group referrals, volunteer outreach and education services for persons and families experiencing a grief loss from death, separation, or a related tragedy.
Comprehensive immigration legal services are provided in collaboration with Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid in Willmar (1-888-360-3666) and with outreach in Marshall and Montevideo.
Referrals are facilitated to Lutheran Social
Service of Minnesota for help with debt
problems, foreclosure prevention counseling, bankruptcy proceedings, and reverse mortgage counseling for seniors.
Initial counseling with family members and
caregivers to discuss issues and consider
referrals to Lutheran Social Service or other local resources for guardianship and
conservator services and related caregiving
